We often define our own success and happiness according to other people's goals and to society's portrayals of achievement. The trouble with doing this is that we move away from being true to ourselves. It's very easy to get lost in the what-we-should-be doing. We can end up aspiring to things that don't really resonate with who we really are. For example, if you'd really prefer spending your precious time with your family & friends instead of working crazy hours or being super stressed trying to keep up to some ridiculous imaginary standard with your peers, then decide that is what you are going to do.
No one else can make that decision for you.
