The river lets you live a fake life (even if you don’t realise it yet). It creates powerful illusions which take you further away from who you truly are.
It offers no solutions when you feel stressed, guilty, lost, at a dead end or angry. It gives you a false safety in familiarity and a certain acceptance from everyone else who resides in the river. But the only real things on offer in the river are more stress and lots of ultimately pointless drama that wastes your precious years.
